Contact improvisación
Asaf Bachrach
Simple machines. "A simple machine is a mechanical device that changes the direction or magnitude of a force. In general, they can be defined as the simplest mechanisms that provide mechanical advantage (also called leverage). Usually the term refers to the six classical simple machines which were defined by Renaissance scientists:" (wikipedia)
After first exploring the basic forms of contact improvisation, namely the spiral and the sphere, we will turn our attention to the ways we can trun our own bodies into these six simple machines. For example, we will use the logic of the lever to provide a more efficient and dynamic support, use the spiral to turn our bodies into screws and use pulley configurations to use our own weight to lift and support others. A special focus for of this workshop will be the trio configuration which will serve to construct more complicated machines as well as a bridge between the practice of CI and performance.
Stage performance
Natividad Insua
This will be a space for individual exploration (and group) to find ways and interpretive capabilities with which we as a trademark.
What is special-motion action is the uniqueness of who does it and the sincerity with which he performs.
This work from patterns or exercises from different arts, improvisation, exercises perception, emotion management and the internal world, with the goal to be organic to be present and looking for open communication with the public. We also introduce working with our sounds and objects, integrating the expressive task
We propose then to find the sincerity of action, exploring the authenticity of the movement, in order to prevent players from "technical quality" but expressionless and little touching. Connecting with our world (movement) let arise internally what we feel, in this way will be more feasible to find an interpretation / organic expression, to facilitate communication with the public.
"Only a body committed to the job can really feel the movement accuracy, the precision of a gesture, evidence of a space" Jacques Lecoq

Work exercises and movement sequences constructed from different dance
techniques, martial arts, contact, acrobatics and yoga, focused on energy
management, space and musicality, including the practice of improvisation as a
tool of identity movement .
Through a management group and individual follow-up, the teacher will guide the training to enrich the physical possibilities and expressive individual with the following objectives:
-Know and expand the expressive potential physical
-To develop flexibility and strength, endurance and tone, alertness and relaxation, fluidity and resolution.
-Train your body and attitude confidence, creativity and freedom of expression.
-Overcome your limits and expand the movement
-Convert individual characteristics in your own expressive capital
Technique and composition
Cecilia Colacrai
We will use different techniques of movement (release technique, elements of low
flying, partner work, handling, alignment, etc.) to achieve both a body and flexible
thinking, adaptive and active.
Work from the center of the body relative to the ends and vice versa; investigate the relationship with other bodies through contact, time and space; talk about weight, supports and supports both the floor and others, motors and directions movement, impulses, falls, careers, travel, spirals, etc..
Look also pave the way for exploration and from there develop and enhance skills and body imagery, and provide tools that allow us to share improvisational space research and group composition, move with the energy needed in order to achieve transform movement in communication.
